This award recognises cutting edge solutions in the Anything as a Service (XaaS) space, this includes but not limited to, Communications Platform as a Service, Contact Center as a service, Unified communications as a service and Infrastructure as a service.

Best Blockchain/Security Innovation

Who should submit:
Telcos, cloud service providers, hyperscalers, software & tech companies and vendors, retail and e-commerce, banking and finance, technology

This award will recognise the best innovation of the past year in the blockchain and security sector – this includes general network security as well, not just related to blockchain. Please note that this award relates to a specific project, innovation, program or technological development.

This award will recognise the year's best innovation in data services (please note that B2C-related projects will not be considered). This award relates to a specific project, innovation, program or technological development.

Best IoT Initiative

This award will recognise the year's outstanding initiative in the IoT space – a project, innovation, program, technological development, or any other initiative related to any stage of IoT, whether supplier or client-side.

Best Mobile/ 5G Service Innovation

Who should submit:
Telco, MNO, hardware vendors, software & tech companies and vendors

This award will recognise the year's outstanding innovation in mobile and 5G service. As this relates specifically to network service provision, projects that focus on B2C service delivery will be accepted for this category.

Best Network Technology & Software Development

This award recognises the best independent fibre-optic connectivity provider, operating in-country on a regional basis with infrastructure independent of their in-country incumbent. Entrants can operate anywhere globally and should highlight excellence in quality of service.

This award recognises marketing excellence in digital infrastructure and communication – it can be a well-executed campaign, an outstanding marketing operation, a digital sales success story, a viral social media campaign or a combination of any of the above. Campaigns on any media, in any language, and from anywhere in the world are eligible for submission.

This award recognises the most dynamic, successful and effective marketing team in the business. The judges are looking for evidence of continued success with campaigns, strategy and execution across the whole year.

This award will recognise the most outstanding sales team in the connectivity business. Judges are looking for evidence of commercial success, fantastic relationship-building, and business development.

Special Recognition

This special category recognises initiatives that are changing the world in the environmental, societal, state and government spheres. Judges will also be presenting the best initiative in implementing measures to promote diversity and inclusiveness and the best Covid-19 initiative put into motion during what has been a once in a lifetime call for action.

This award will recognise the most ingenious, visionary and demonstrably impactful digital infrastructure project of the year – be it subsea, terrestrial, satellite or wireless. There is no limit to the size or scope of the project, and it can be from any region of the world.

Best Sustainability & Environmental, Social, Governmental (ESG) Initiative

Who should submit:
Data centre, telco, MNO, subsea operator, satellite operator, cloud service provider, hyperscaler, software & tech companies and vendors, retail and e-commerce, banking and finance, technology

This special category recognises initiatives that are changing the world in the environmental, societal, state and government spheres. This can include charity initiatives, corporate environmental commitments either now or for the future, or anything in the CSR space.

In partnership with the Empowered Network and the Women in Tech World Series, this award recognises the year's best diversity and inclusion initiative – a vital part of business. Entries can cover any kind of initiative, whatever the focus.

Submissions should include rationale for the acquisition and what it means for the market and the companies involved.
